Legacy Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning is a family-owned company based right next door in Dublin, but for owner Josh Adler, Pleasanton is home. Josh grew up here, graduated from Amador Valley High School, and his parents still live in town. Today, our team cleans carpet, upholstery, area rugs, and tile and grout for homes from Ruby Hill and Vintage Hills to the older houses near downtown Main Street, and for offices throughout Hacienda Business Park.
Whether you need a whole-house cleaning before guests arrive or one stubborn stain handled before it sets, our team is ready to help. Every job begins with a free consultation, where we assess your carpets and furniture, answer your questions, and recommend the best way to clean them. Ready to see what a professional cleaning could do for your home?
Steam Carpet Cleaning
Our steam carpet cleaning lifts the dirt, allergens, and residue that vacuuming leaves behind, so carpets look, feel, and smell fresher. We match our method and cleaning solutions to your carpet’s fiber and condition instead of using one approach for every home. Learn more about our carpet cleaning service.
Upholstery Cleaning
Sofas, sectionals, and dining chairs collect the same soil, dander, and odors as carpet. We clean fabric and leather furniture gently, choosing a method that suits the material so colors and textures stay intact. See our upholstery cleaning page for details.
Area and Oriental Rug Cleaning
Wool, silk, and hand-knotted oriental rugs need different care than wall-to-wall carpet, and the wrong solution can cause fading or bleeding dyes. We identify the fibers first, then clean in a way that protects them. Our area rug cleaning page covers the rugs we handle.
Tile and Grout Cleaning
Grout lines in kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways trap dirt that mopping can’t reach. Our professional tile and grout cleaning restores the original look and removes the mold, mildew, and bacteria that settle into porous surfaces, without harsh chemicals. Read more about tile and grout cleaning.
Pet Stain and Odor Removal
Pet accidents can soak through carpet into the pad, which is why odors often return after a surface cleaning. We use several treatment methods for pet odor removal on carpets, rugs, and furniture. Learn about our pet stain and odor removal service.
Office and Commercial Carpet Cleaning
Clean floors make a good impression on clients and a better workplace for your team. Our office carpet cleaning saves Pleasanton businesses the cost of buying equipment and the hassle of asking staff to do the work. Visit our commercial carpet cleaning page.
We also clean hardwood floors, luxury vinyl plank, and stone and masonry, and we offer carpet color repair.

In most cases, yes. Odor that has reached the carpet pad takes more treatment than a surface stain, so we'll inspect the area and explain what to expect before we start. For quick first steps, see our tips on getting pet urine out of carpet.
